The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a non-profit organization that gathers diverse stakeholders from the palm oil supply chain with the purpose of promoting the production and use of palm oil with environmental, social and economic sustainability criteria.
Grupo Agroindustrial Numar has been a member of RSPO since 2014 and obtained the RSPO Supply Chain Certification System in January 2016; and is thus authorized to offer sustainable oil palm products to its customers

FSSC 22000 is a food safety management system aimed (FSMS) at improving the preparation of products and services, where hazards related to food safety exist at any stage in the food supply chain, while ensuring compliance with applicable requirements according to the company’s food safety policy and strategic direction, taking into consideration the characteristics of raw materials, ingredients and materials in contact with the product.
To satisfy the requirements laid down under the FSSC 22000 standard, the organization plans and implements actions aimed at addressing risks, attaining a highly efficient FSMS that results in the prevention of negative effects, tackling risks, obtaining better results and minimizing negative effects at the time of consumption (food intake).
The vegetable oil-based shortening and margarine production plant at Grupo Agroindustrial Numar S.A. has been FSSC22000 certified since December 2011, and this is how the safety of its products can be ensured without leaving quality aside in each of the products prepared:

This certification is awarded by the Ministry of Ministerio of the Environment and Energy of Costa Rica as a recognition to companies implementing an adequate management of greenhouse gas emissions.
